Granite memorials for Riverbend families
We are about 15 minutes south-west, which puts every cemetery serving Riverbend inside the area we deliver and install to. Families here are usually buying for Westlawn Memorial Gardens, Edmonton Cemetery and South Haven, and each of those grounds has its own rules about memorial size, thickness and whether an upright is allowed at all. Call the shop
Riverbend is close enough to the shop that most families come in twice — once to choose the granite and once to see the stone before it goes out. We encourage both visits.
Everything we make is cut and lettered on 181 Street in west Edmonton — solid granite, sandblasted by hand, never ordered in finished and resold. You are welcome to come and see the stone at full size before it goes out to Riverbend, and a good number of Riverbend families do exactly that. Ask for a quote
If you do not yet know what your section allows, that is the normal starting point and not a problem. Tell us the cemetery and the plot number and we will find out, in writing, before you make a single decision about granite or wording. There is no charge for that and no obligation attached to it. What we make
Our memorials in Riverbend
All five are made in the same Edmonton shop, and we deliver and install throughout Riverbend.
Why us
Why Riverbend families work with us
We know the Riverbend cemeteries
We have set memorials at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, Edmonton Cemetery and South Haven and we know what each one accepts. Before we quote you anything we confirm your section's size, thickness and finish rules in writing with the cemetery.
Clear, itemised pricing
The memorial price covers the granite, the engraving and two designs, with any amount of front lettering in any language. Delivery and installation to Riverbend are quoted separately and stated up front, alongside the cemetery's own permit fee — nothing appears at the end that was not on the quote.
A proof before anything is cut
You see a scaled drawing of the finished memorial and check every name, date and word on it. Proofs are free, we redraw as many times as needed, and nothing goes to the saw until you approve it.
The cemetery paperwork is ours
Permit applications, size approvals and foundation scheduling are handled by us. You should not have to learn how a cemetery permit works while you are grieving.
Locally
What Riverbend families usually choose
Riverbend is close enough to the shop that most families come in twice — once to choose the granite in daylight and once to see the finished memorial before it leaves for the cemetery. We encourage both, because granite colour on a screen bears little relation to granite colour in the yard. Westlawn and South Haven are the usual destinations, so flat markers dominate.
Riverbend questions
Asked by families here
Can we see the finished stone before it goes to the cemetery?
Yes, and we would rather you did. We will call when the memorial is finished and hold it in the shop until you have seen it. Riverbend is fifteen minutes away, so it costs you a short drive and it is the last chance to catch anything.
Does granite really look different in person?
Considerably. Jet black photographs as flat grey, and the browns and mid-greys that make up most of Edmonton's cemeteries look nothing on a monitor like they do in daylight. Choose the colour from the samples in the yard, not from this website.
