Granite memorials for Windermere families
We are about 20 minutes south-west, which puts every cemetery serving Windermere inside the area we deliver and install to. Families here are usually buying for South Haven Memorial Gardens and Westlawn, with Mount Pleasant a little further east, and each of those grounds has its own rules about memorial size, thickness and whether an upright is allowed at all. Call the shop
Windermere is new enough that most families here are buying a first plot rather than adding to one. That means more choice, and usually a longer conversation about what the section allows.
Everything we make is cut and lettered on 181 Street in west Edmonton — solid granite, sandblasted by hand, never ordered in finished and resold. You are welcome to come and see the stone at full size before it goes out to Windermere, and a good number of Windermere families do exactly that. Ask for a quote
If you do not yet know what your section allows, that is the normal starting point and not a problem. Tell us the cemetery and the plot number and we will find out, in writing, before you make a single decision about granite or wording. There is no charge for that and no obligation attached to it. What we make
Our memorials in Windermere
All five are made in the same Edmonton shop, and we deliver and install throughout Windermere.
Why us
Why Windermere families work with us
We know the Windermere cemeteries
We have set memorials at South Haven Memorial Gardens and Westlawn, with Mount Pleasant a little further east and we know what each one accepts. Before we quote you anything we confirm your section's size, thickness and finish rules in writing with the cemetery.
Clear, itemised pricing
The memorial price covers the granite, the engraving and two designs, with any amount of front lettering in any language. Delivery and installation to Windermere are quoted separately and stated up front, alongside the cemetery's own permit fee — nothing appears at the end that was not on the quote.
A proof before anything is cut
You see a scaled drawing of the finished memorial and check every name, date and word on it. Proofs are free, we redraw as many times as needed, and nothing goes to the saw until you approve it.
The cemetery paperwork is ours
Permit applications, size approvals and foundation scheduling are handled by us. You should not have to learn how a cemetery permit works while you are grieving.
Locally
What Windermere families usually choose
Windermere is new enough that most families here are buying a first plot rather than adding to an established one, which means every decision is still open and the conversation runs longer. That is not a bad thing. Most end up at South Haven or Westlawn, both memorial-garden style, so flat markers and bronze-on-granite are the usual outcome.
Windermere questions
Asked by families here
We have never done this before — where do we start?
With the cemetery, not the memorial. Until you know which cemetery and which section, the choice of stone is guesswork. Once the plot is settled, call us with the number and we will tell you what is permitted. Everything after that — size, granite, wording — is a conversation we can have at whatever pace suits you.
Do memorial gardens require bronze?
Some sections do. Memorial gardens are where bronze-on-granite requirements are most common in the Edmonton area, and it is worth establishing before you settle on a granite design. We confirm the material requirement with the cemetery as part of quoting.
